Welcome to The Inspired Solo Bookstore!

This site is affiliated with Inspired Solo, a blog published by lawyer and author Sheryl Sisk Schelin for lawyers and other service professionals who are, or who want to be, sole proprietors in business for themselves.

From Sheryl:

Due to the limitations of the Wordpress.com hosted sites, I decided to move the blog to a stand-alone hosted site. But Inspired Solo is my baby, and I didn't want to just plug it up with any old design template, and let that be that. So, I'm working with a designer behind the scenes to create something really special, that I hope we'll have ready for launch no later than the end of July.

But in the meantime, there are all these other things I'd like to do for Inspired Solos and Solos-to-be - books to promote, articles I've written that I want them to have, checklists that can help them build and promote their businesses. And Wordpress.com gets cranky if you put that stuff up on their servers, whereas Blogger loves it!

So, I hit on this compromise, which is really a temporary solution until we get the finished site ready for launch, which is an "affiliated bookstore site" - this page, right here. This is where I'm going to review and recommend books for the Inspired Solo, and post my own writing on the subject in a more extended and, I think, valuable format for those who want to break free of the BigLaw mold and forge their own path.

Thus, the bottom line: The Inspired Solo will stay where it is for a few more months at least, at http://inspiredsolo.wordpress.com. I'll also continue to post here from time to time, at http://inspiredsolo.blogspot.com - bookmark carefully! And in a week or so, I'll start publishing book reviews and articles here for you to browse and buy. I'll cross post every few days or so, just to make sure everyone's on the same page and knows what's up with each site. In a few months, we hope to merge both sites at http://www.theinspiredsolo.com, our new home!

In the meantime, two resources in one - can't beat that with a stick!
